German day

Yesterday and today was German day sponsored by International Student Center and Department of German and German literature.

The main event of it was "Bread with German ham" which sold by 1,000 Korean won per one.(0.65 Euro) and "German Beer Event"

"Bread with German ham" is composed of bread and German ham like Hamburger.

It's too expensive for its size but ham was softer than other ham.

I desired HUGE GERMAN SAUSAGE! It disappointed me!

It was sold by an Korean student(I guess his major is German and German literature.) and a German man.

The German man can speak some Korean words, 한 개(Han-Gae), which means "one" and "두 개"(Doo-Gae) which means two. Since most of students bought one or who of it, this Korean word were very useful for him!

"German Beer Event" is the event that if I got 3 stickers given  by performing mission in event room,  I can drink German beer at event time.

I was not able to participate  "German Beer Event" since event time starts at 13:30 but I had a class that time.

G-market coupon arrived!

Last Thursday, I bought food coupons sold by G-market.

The main purpose is reduce economic burden of Korean university student.

Korean university students are suffered by high price tuition so they take high-interest school loan
or do part-time job lots of hours.


Price of a coupon is 1,250 Korean Won and I bought 4 sets of them.

Each set of coupon consist of four coupons. Hence, I totally bought 16 coupons for 20,000 Korean Won

I can exchange a coupon for a meal but I'm not certain that I can buy high price meal with only coupon  since "You can exchange 2,500Korean won with this coupon" is written on the coupon.

 Anyway, I can save at least 20,000won with it. I hope there will be other events for student.

Europa Universalis 3: Divine Wind: Castile chronicle in 1400(I)

   

Darkest Hour: Another game made by Paradoxx interactive. It is about WWI and WWII.

Victoria II: Another game made by Paradoxx interactive. It is about 1836~1920 of Europe, focused on Queen Victoria of the British Empire. At that era, Opium war, Napoleon III of France, Annexation of Texas by US and US-Mexico war, American civil war and form of German Empire by Bismark happened.

I started posting about Europa Universalis 3: Divine Wind, a computer game.

I selected Kingdom of Castile and the war of Reconquest of Spain began.

On 1400, main event of the Castile was war with Kingdom of Granada.

There was a first battle on Granada. Although I achieved victory since I have more army than the enemy, my  casualties are quite more than  the enemy by penalty of terrains and crossing the river.

 King of Castile changed. Juana is new king of our nation.
He decided to win on this war firmly.
Unfortunately, one of the my army was eliminated by enemy's attack while they were moving to other province.

 There was a naval battle on Gulf on Cadiz. Our glorious fleet defeated Moroco's transport.

Moroco tried landing assult upon us to help Granada.

Moroco declared war upon us as an ally of the Granada.

 Moroco make trade dispute upon us. It didn't affect much since our nation's trading post is in my nation and Lisbon, Portugal and Genoa, Italian country.

 Austria, one of the powerful country, offered us an alliance and I accepted.
Although Austria cannot help this war since they are not connected with my nation and they are not near sea, this alliance will help restraining France.

My fleet won a navlal battle upon Moroco again and captured some ships!

It is a good chance to strength our navy.

However, my fleet did not succeed to destroy enemy's transport.

 Moroco tried landing assult again so I moved my fleet.

Yes! I succeed eliminating enemy's fleet!

While we're fighting upon Muslim countries, England succeed to annex their enemy.

I hope to achieve victory and annex Granada like them.

Oops! other Muslim countries declared war upon us to help Granada!

I have to raise some armies to protect our nation though it costs some money.

I started playing Europa Universalis 3 : Divine Wind, historical simulation game.

It is focus on European history, especially 14th century to 19th century, 100years war to Napoleonic war.

I played England, starting era is 1492, 'A new world!' scenario.

England is very attractive country since I can concentrate on navy with small army forces.

Only thing to protect my nation is defeat the enemy in Dover strait with navy.

In this game, maintaining troops costs a lot so I can save money for army forces.

However, I failed to manage inflation and some economical problems caused by maintaining colonies since it was my first game .

Hence I decided to play other nation and chose Castile, former nation of Spain.

The starting scenario is "Grand Campaign", starting era is 1399.


Here is the first starting era. Castile, my nation occupy most of lands of Iberian peninsula.

On west of Castile, there is a Kingdom of Portugal and east of Castile, there is a Kingdom of Aragon, which forms Spain with Castile by personal union, historically.

On south of Castile, there is a Kingdom of Granada, Muslim country.

Castile have to conquer it by Reconquest of Spain.

 Quality of Army is better than large army, helps reducing cost for maintaining army.

I moved slider into the "quality" part and let unsuitable recruits back to their home.

England declared war upon Tyrone, one of the country in Ireland.

Byzantium also declared war! In this scenario, Byzantium is very week by invading of Ottomans.

 I don't think they will capture victory.

 100 years war trigger activated. France has very powerful army and it is very threatening upon Castile.

I hope England fight with France well.

 Aragon declared war upon Navarra, a nation in north of us.

 Sustaining good relation with Iberian country is important since it enables maintaining small army to defend our nation so I can concentrate with my navy and gain colonies.

War of Reconquest of Spain began by declaration of war by me.


I hope to annex the Granada.

On May 5th, there was a call from London Royal Palace.

The call was about receiving a higher peerage, reward of participating investment competition.

The money I invested in whole city was more than 100 million ducats, amount of money that giving higher peerage.

My peerage was semi-5th chevalier, and now I am 5th chevalier.

Earl of Sussex conferred the 5th chevalier on me.

Children's day festival.

May is month of family in Korea. In particular, May 5th is children's day, and May 8th is parent's day.

On May 5th, there was a festival in park, near my house, where many dogs play on weekend.

The first show that I saw was a musical band.

Most of members of the band was senior citizens but their performance as great as professional young artists.

After the rendering, there was a magic show on the hall of the park.

The magic ended in a short time and had no high-technical tricks, like pigeon and using fire.

However, it was enough to fascinate children's curiosity.

The last show that I saw was cultural exchange with Okayama city, Japan.
